Super Doubles at Kmart?

Rumor has it that Kmart is doubling all coupons up to and including $2 from Nov 30 - Dec 6!! I called customer service to verify this and they said it depended on the store. I called the store in Reidsville and they claim they won't know til the Sunday sales paper comes out. This comes as no surprise to me as I have called Kmart (customer service and the store) and asked them the same questions and gotten different answers, but I guess that's just their standard. I'll try to get this verified and post on here so all yall can take advantage of this. Last time I got $122 of good stuff for just $21.65!

I've done the work for yall and found some things that might help you. Click Here and Here for price lists with coupon matchups.

Are YOU Ready?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. BUT it's also the beginning of Black Friday deals at CVS! This looks to be awesome with a load of FREE stuff. Put that with coupons and you could make around $22! Click here to see all the deals with pictures. Good luck!

CVS Black Friday Deals!!

There are some REALLY good deals starting on Thanksgiving Day at 8pm at all CVS stores, unless 24 hour ones. I did the math and if you have each coupon and do each deal, you'll make around $22! That's like getting paid to take all these products for nothing and the cashier handing you $22 as you leave! While they won't give you dollars, you'll get Extra Bucks, which are the same thing in CVS stores. Go HERE and read all the deals. You'll see me at my favorite store at 7:55am, waiting on them to unlock the doors. I know, I know, I'm an addict. But at least it's not cocaine or liquor.

Black Friday Deals Are Here!

There are WAY too many discounts to list on here and as I find them, I'll post them. Go HERE to see what I've found so far. This site has done a good job of listing them and the discounts to be had. Better get your game plan in order!

Still Dropping!!

It's still going down! This is from Danville, VA, the place I fill up each time I cross the state line. Hoping to find it in the $1.60s next week there. Maybe it'll be in the upper $1.50s, who knows? AND I filled up for over $30.44 (almost 17 gallons)! That's hasn't happened in years--literally.

You Heard It Here First...

Found out last night from a CVS manager that starting in 2009, only one CVS card per household will be allowed. They are going to review their records and cut off multiple cards per address, leaving only one. If you and your spouse both have cards, better cash out one of them before January 1, 2009 and just use the one.

He said too many people are using Extra Bucks. I guess everyone is finding out how to play by the rules and win!

More On The Battery Deal

As promised, here's what I did Sunday at CVS. It was quite a good afternoon, even if 2 ladies got to 2 different stores just before I did and took all but 5 of the $5/2 packs of batteries coupons. Still, $150 worth of AA's, AAA's, D's and 9-volts for $10 oop works for me.
I'm lucky to have even got this posted tonight b/c right now it's after 11pm and I just got back. I was unexpectedly talked into going to some weird vacuum selling meeting where I would get $20 for showing up to learn about selling vacuums. Long story short, after that clown show I finally got my money only because I asked for it. With the time involved, I made less than $5 an hour and will most likely get a 1099 to fill out now -- for $20. If you get invited, run as fast as you can. It's NOT worth it!!

CVS Battery Deal

This is how I did this deal:

Buy $20 of any Duracell Batteries at $5.99 each, Get $15 ECBs (Limit 3)

Buy 4 packs of batteries at $5.99 each
Use $5/2 coupons from CVS tearpad (if you can find these--coupons state only one per customer)
Use 4 $.75/1 coupons from 10/26 RedPlum
Spend $15.96 out of pocket
Get $15 ECBs back

Total Cost = 96 cents for all those batteries.

I can afford that.

The trick is to get 4 packs at $5.99 each. You're subtotal should be $23.96. If you have a
$5/$25 then get some gum or candy to get the SUBTOTAL (they changed the rules) up to or just over $25.

This is a GREAT deal, especially for all those toys that are coming December 25!

Thank a Soldier

Got this in another email. If you don't know a soldier and want to help, or maybe you do and want to help another, send a Christmas card to the below address. I'm sure they would love to get something from a stranger, wishing them a Merry Christmas and saying how you appreciate what they've done for our country.

CVS: Reports From The Field -- BATTERIES!!

My sister and I did the battery deal yesterday and between the two of us we got $150 in Duracell batteries for about $10 oop (out-of-pocket)!! I will post of pic tonight of how many batteries that entails, but let me tell you -- it took a full bag, triple-layered to hold them all. I got AAA's, AA's, D's and 9-volt. Going back for more, if I can swing it.....

How about you? What did you get?

I Plundered Bath & Body Works

This one was easy. Regularly this would have been over $165, but I got it all for $15.72! That's like 95% off! I used the coupon that was posted a while back for a free ScentPort. It was free as long as you bought something else in the store. I bought the cheapest thing I could find....candles for $1.25 each -- not bad. That coupon wasn't up for long. Guess the company took it down, but I printed me off one before they did that. These will make some good gifts to put with something else at Christmas.

It was fun and rumor is that they are having a great deal in December, so be on the lookout for that one.

The Coupon Queen on Channel 12

Saw her tonight...nothing new. If you missed it, she mentioned that CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid give away stuff each week. And that was about all she said.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to learn how to do better at the grocery store. I do better than many shoppers (only because many shoppers do not use coupons) but not nearly as good as some people I read about. That's my next deal to find out...how to save BIG at the grocery store. I'll let yall know when I get good at it. If you figure it out, you let me know!

Thanks Economy!

One of the good things about a bad economy is to the right. I'm hoping to post a pic soon of $1.50. Think I can find it? Of course, it would be good if the price was $0.00 b/c we were running off solar, but that's another story. This price was found in Danville, VA, and after I filled up I saw it for $1.83! The cheapest I've seen in NC is $2.08. See the difference in state taxes?

Get to Virginia and get some cheap gas!! The getting is good and should only get better!

For all you newcomers to coupons out there, watch WXII Channel 12 TONIGHT at 11pm to see The Coupon Queen. She's some local girl who gets good deals all the time. She's been on before and last year she got her Thanksgiving meal for a family of 5 with all the trimmings for $23, so she knows what she is talking about.

Free Schick Quattro Titanium Razor at Walgreens

These are really nice razors and when you get a bunch of them for free, you don't have to spend any money on buying the blades. (I do the same thing with the Gillete Fusion razors.)

This razor is on sale for $6.99. To get it for free, use the $4/1 coupon from the December issue of All You magazine (see notes below) and stack that with the $3/1 Walgreens coupon from the Easy Saver booklet (found at the front of Walgreens when you walk in the door). If you do this, let me know.

**All You magazine is found only at Walmart. Look for it in the checkout lane magazine stand. It's a magazine aimed at working mothers who are trying to save money. It is a monthly magazine loaded with coupons and it has been on sale in the past for $20 for a 2 year subscription.

Kmart Super Doubles -- Again!! November 12-16

Kmart is doing doubles again! Before you get too excited, supposedly only the stores with a grocery store are honoring this deal. For everyone in Reidsville, that cancels us out. There is a Kmart with a grocery store in Greensboro that will be doing it.

They will be doubling coupons up to and including $2. So a $2 coupon will be worth $4. I did this 2 weeks ago in Reidsville and bought $122 of shampoo, soap, cleaning supplies, dog treats, and a bunch of other things for $21.65 after coupons. Doing stuff like this keeps me from even going near the toiletries at the grocery store. In fact, I don't even know the last time I pushed a cart down that aisle. Now I mainly shop the edges of the store -- fruit, meat, milk, and frozen vegetables.
I'm definitely no Oprah watcher, but my fellow graduates of CVS University, Carrie and Kevin of Mt. Airy, NC, sent me a deal and I know some of yall would be into this. Check it out. Might be a good present for someone, especially if you don't know what to get and don't really feel like spending a lot of money

Walgreens Update

I took a look at the new store in Reidsville. Other than high prices, there's not much to speak of. I'll only be getting the deals there. I did find the Easy Saver booklets when I walked in. Go and grab you some. Stack those store coupons with manufacturer's coupons and Register Rewards, and I can see where you'd get some good deals.

In true Reidsville fashion there was a crowd and a half in there to see everything. Kinda like when they open a new Walmart. Everyone knows what's in there, but they wanna see it anyway. Talk about wasting money. Some of these people were buying the stupidest stuff. I'm talking Tweety Bird dog sweaters and baby shirts that say "Papi Es Fuerte". I guess its not wasting money if they needed that stuff, but come on. And you can also get your RCHS or Rams hooded sweatshirt for an inflated price as well.

New Muir's Glen Coupon $1/1

Click here to print the new $1/1 Muir's Glen Organic product coupon. Hit your back button to print it again. Walmart has diced organic tomatoes for around $1.20 a can, making this a good deal for organic tomatoes.

Walgreens Is OPEN

Looking at the sign now and yep, they're open. The sales paper had overpriced junk so far. If it weren't for the rebates, ECBs, or RR's (Register Rewards), I would not be shopping at these places. Hopefully they'll be improving the deal selection soon.

CVS: Reports from the Field

Headed out to grab some goods tonight and what I wound up doing was not the best deal, but stuff I can use or give away right now to family who have been wanting some more free stuff. Got 7 bottles of St. Ives body wash and 3 bottles of Garnier Shampoo for only $4 oop! (oop = out of pocket)

I know there are coupons out there for this stuff, but not sure where. If you know where they are, let me know so I can make profit on this stuff!

Word Is.....

The new Walgreens in Reidsville COULD be opening tomorrow (Monday). That'll add to the plunder we accumulate each week. I work across the street from it and if it is opening, I'll post about it here first thing.

Harris Teeter TRIPLES Pic

A friend of mine sent this in: "This is a picture of the stuff we got at Harris Teeter tonight. We got $50.00 worth of stuff for $17.90!!!! Thanks for all of your help, and for introducing us to the wonderful world of ECB's and coupons!! "

Yall did a great job!

This was the first time this couple did triples and look at what they got. I'd say they won the game at HT tonight.

Personalized Christmas Book (for kids)

My sister and I got our own individual personalized books for Christmas one year and we thought we were pretty important if someone wrote a book with us in it. You might want to get one for each of your kids, grandkids, nieces, or nephews. The offer is limited to one book per household, but I'm sure you could ship one to a friend's house as well if you'd like more than one. Click here for more. Oh yeah, it only costs one penny with free shipping.

So Lame But So Funny

Circular Editor Makes Last-Minute Call To Run Fabric Softener As Top Coupon

MONTVALE. NJ—In a crucial, 11th-hour decision for one of the tristate area's largest weekly bargain supplements, Pathmark circular editor in chief Daniel Mauzy boldly opted to run a $0.75-off discount on Snuggle fabric softener as this week's top coupon. "The fact is, every other circular in town is going to be running this coupon up top, and if we bury it on page eight, we're the ones who are going to look like idiots," Mauzy said in a hastily convened emergency staff meeting yesterday. "People want to see more Snuggle on the front page, and I think it's high time we gave the people what they want." As a reward for his quick thinking and impeccable journalistic instincts, Mauzy was given a small raise and a mail-in two-for-one rebate on Glade PlugIns.

HT Triples -- Colgate

So I've been reading about something HT does called "e-Vic". Not really sure on how this works, but apparently the $.75/1 Colgate coupon is tripling to $2.25 and the Colgate is on sale for $1.99, leaving you with a 26 cent PROFIT. This equals a $10 moneymaker (MM) with the e-Vic deal.

If anyone tries this, let me know.

FREE Gourmet Truffles

Like to eat? Try these truffles for FREE. I've sent off for several orders of them. Even shipping is free in the USA.

Stockpiling -- It Only Makes Sense

When I started this thing of getting SO MUCH stuff for free, I had to have a place to store it. I had no idea what I was getting into. First, I kept everything in the bags the cashier put them in. Very soon, that turned into plastic Tupperware boxes. After filling 4 of those, I emptied them into an empty closet. Problem solved. Plenty of room. After a few more good deals, triples at Harris Teeter, and a couple of trips to CVS and Rite Aid, I spread my stash to another closet. That one is about completely full and I need to find yet another spot. Or maybe I'll just cut back some on my deal seeking. But not too much...

Some people see my stockpile and think it's ridiculous, and it is. BUT when I need Windex, I just go and get a bottle. Something need dusting? I've got boxes and boxes of Pledge Wipes and bottles of Pledge. Hungry?? Grab one of 12 boxes or so of cereal (at 60 cents to 84 cents a box). Going to the beach? Take some sunscreen. I've got bottles of it. Wanna clean your bathroom? Here, take some toilet bowl cleaner, tub and sink cleaner, and while you're at it, mop the floors with one of 4 Swiffers I got. This article from Money Saving Mom will show you why it only makes sense to have a stockpile. This is not just for the ladies either. Guys can do it too, unless some of you guys just enjoy paying full retail for something. I have no problem with that either; it is your choice and I really don't care what you do with your money. But if you wanna maximize your dollar and always have supplies on hand, give it a shot.

0ne of the hardest things when you first get started is recognizing a good price when you see it. I used to get excited if I could get cereal for $2 a box. I never pay that now; more like 60 cents to 84 cents a box. But before I thought I was getting a good deal. One of the cool things about having a stockpile is you have enough of the items you use each day and they last you til that same item goes on sale again. If you play it right, you'll have enough of it to last you til its free or you make a profit again. If the item is full price and you have a coupon for it, most likely it is NOT a good deal. Most coupons expire in 6-8 weeks after they are issued, about the time the item on the coupon goes on sale. The trick is to combine store deals with coupons. That way you get the item at the lowest price AND the coupon discount as well. Put this with doubles (everyday at Lowes Food, up to 99 cents) or triples and you will get it for free or you'll make money on it, depending on the coupon policy of the store. Out of my 2 closets full of good, name brand stuff, I probably gave $20-$30 for all of it. The Swiffers and Swiffer Refills alone would have cost me more than $60! I have so much stuff for pennies when you get down to it.

The most amazing thing about all this is HOW MUCH YOU CAN GIVE AWAY!! Everyone knows someone who could use some help. Why not help them and all it will cost you is time? How many times have you thought about how much you would do for others if you had more money? Well when you get things for cheap/free/profit, then you can GIVE MORE and be a blessing to others. Try it out. I can guarantee that you'll get hooked.

Field & Stream -- FREE stuff

Do you like to hunt but hate to fish? Or would you rather be fishing instead of hunting? Doesn't matter -- got both covered. Field & Stream is needing people to test their products in the field. You fill out a survey about your hunting/fishing habits and they will send you products to test out. Oh yeah, you get to keep them too.

Click here for more details and then click here for hunting and here for fishing.

Vicky's Secrets: Reports from the Field

Heather Pulliam tried to get some stuff at Victoria's Secret using the links provided a few posts down. Apparently Vicky got mad that someone told her secret and now it's being reported that none of the links work. You gotta move fast. Vicky is tricky.

More posts to come later. I was too wrapped up in the election last night to hunt down anything good to post.

If any of you find anything good, send it my way.

Harris Teeter TRIPLES Master List

Check out the Master List (thanks Hot Coupon World) for the free/really cheap stuff at the Teeter. Not a bad lineup. Anyone going? What's your strategy? Hit me back with what you end up getting, along with your price before AND after coupons. My friend (and the one who got me started in all this) Cara Morton has been the big winner the last few triples by racking up HUGE deals and leading the way at 6am, babies in both arms, and steering the cart with a foot. She usually stocks up at these triple events and does not really have to go grocery shopping again for a few weeks. Saving money...gotta love it.

FYI -- There is a Harris Teeter in Danville, VA. Check out this map to find it.

Don't forget HT's coupon policy. Make your plans around it and take note of the number of like coupons you can use per transaction, as well as how many coupons they will triple per transaction. And don't forget your VIC card.

Starbucks -- FREE coffee

If you live/work near a Starbucks, go in tomorrow, tell them you voted, and you'll get FREE coffee. Don't lie and take the coffee, but actually GO VOTE tomorrow. And if you have not made a decision by now, perhaps you should just sit this one out! Or let me vote for you. :)

CVS: Reports from the Field

Got a call from a friend tonight, saying he got 3 bags of goods for less than $3!! He made off with 2 Wellpatches, 1 Febreeze, 2 tubes of toothpaste, 2 Glade candles, a glucose monitor, and a Reese's candybar. That is how to do it! He definitely won the game tonight and he's only been at for 3 weeks. Good job!!!

Vicky's Secrets??

Looks like she let this secret out of the bag. Guys, here is an early (and cheap) Christmas present. Word to the wise: Avoid the "Gently Used" section. Fight the urge to claw through tubs of (mostly) washed, pre-worn attire. No matter what the price, I'm sure your wife won't consider that a good deal. Forget any mention of buying only big bargains (here only), no matter what Dave Ramsey says!
